What is an Enterprise?
An enterprise is any activity or business entered into for profit. An enterprise also means a project, the willingness to take on a new project, an undertaking or business venture, a good example is a new start-up business, someone taking the initiative to start a business.
Another word for an enterprise is a for-profit business, most often associated with entrepreneurial ventures. Successful entrepreneurs are often referred to as “enterprising.” There are many forms of legal enterprises, such that are common in most countries are – a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or private limited, limited liability company (LLC), public limited liability company (PLC), etc.
In this enterprise hub, we shall be focusing on the corporation enterprise, a for-profit entity created to shield the owner(s) from liability should the enterprise become subject to a lawsuit. There are different forms of corporations, depending on how many owners there are.
